Sebastian Serwiak

Today, the Policy Officer responsible for the area of Fighting Crime and Terrorism and Critical Infrastructure Resilience at the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission. He has extensive experience in security research at both national and European levels. With almost 20 years of experience in law enforcement, he has been involved in the EU Framework Programmes since 2004. As Director of the Department of Public Security of the Polish Ministry of the Interior and, most recently, as Deputy Director of the National Contact Point for Research Programmes of the EU, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the national security research system.
