About

Join the XRAqua Project: Inspire the Next Generation with Aquaponics and Immersive Learning

XRAqua is a European initiative that combines sustainability, science education, and cutting-edge Extended Reality (XR) technology to empower schools and communities with hands-on learning experiences in aquaponics. This innovative project integrates real-life aquaponics systems with immersive digital tools to teach students about food production, circular economy, climate action, and STEM subjects in a way that is interactive, practical, and future-oriented.

By participating in XRAqua, your school or municipality will:

  • Install a fully functioning aquaponics system tailored to educational use and classroom engagement.

  • Access a unique XR learning app that simulates real-time system data and invites students to interact with virtual scenarios and learn by doing.

  • Offer interdisciplinary learning opportunities across biology, environmental science, technology, and even entrepreneurship.

  • Engage students through curiosity and experimentation, nurturing critical thinking, ecological awareness, and digital skills.

  • Join a growing European network of innovative schools and teachers committed to climate education and sustainable development.

  • Receive training and support from experts in aquaponics, education, and XR development to help integrate the project into your school’s activities and curriculum.

Whether you’re a teacher eager to bring more practical science to your classroom, a school leader aiming to implement sustainability education, or a municipality seeking to promote climate literacy and food resilience among youth — XRAqua offers you a meaningful, tested and inspiring way to act now.

We are currently expanding to new partner schools and communities across Europe. Join us and help shape a new generation of environmentally aware and digitally fluent citizens.

Interested? Stop by our booth #61 at the European Maritime Day in Cork, or contact us directly to explore how your school or municipality can be part of this exciting journey.
