Description:

Since alternative fuel supply options are still being developed for shipping, the choice of technology when building new tonnage for the future is not easy for a shipowner. Where technology is not mature for a specific trade, the upgrade of existing tonnage will often be a more probable solution. By auditing existing design and by identifying where old technology can be replaced by new, emissions can be reduced and brought down. The main objective of this pitch is to boost the reduction of emissions within shipping by giving the participants the knowledge and tools to carry out risk-free and measurable Co2-reducing actions on existing tonnage without converting to new fuels.
