Description: The Common Information Sharing Environment - CISE is a European initiative that is uniquely designed to meet these needs, by enhancing interoperability and cooperation among EU actors carrying out maritime activities. It connects systems of authorities with responsibility in maritime surveillance and enables them to exchange relevant information across borders and different sectors, allowing for more effective operations at sea.

The CISE-ALERT project aims to push-up CISE from the current transitional phase to its operational state, by testing the Common Information Sharing Environment in an operational way with a long endurance trial. This exercise will include exchange of real cross-border and cross-sector data between operational centres and will give a clear picture of the feasibility and added value of CISE.
