The strategies of coastal cities for a sustainable development in blue economy and energy transition.

At this High Level Panel, the EMD Cities Network will present the outcomes of their roundtables:

• Sustainable life in a sustainable archipelago, presented by the mayor of Svendborg (DK);

• Ocean & society: innovation as a catalyst, presented by the vice president of Brest Metropole (F);

• Ravenna's strategy for a sustainable and just energy transition, presented by the Deputy Mayor of Ravenna (I);

• Climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030, presented by the Lord mayor of Cork (EI);

• Maritime education: becoming a blue school municipality, presented by the mayor of Den Helder (NL).

The EMD Cities Network gathers the mayors of the past, current and future EMD cities.

On 30 May, each EMD coastal city hosts a round table discussion on a local challenge related to blue economy, energy transition and sustainable development.
