About me

Zied KBAIER is a seasoned expert with over 14 years of international experience in R&I management, EU project development, and tech transfer. He has worked as an EU Projects and Innovation Consultant with global organisations across Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Tunisia. Zied is well-positioned as a professional supporting R&I systems in both the EU and the Southern Mediterranean contexts. He has a deep understanding of EU Framework Programmes (FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe) and has served as National Contact Point (NCP) for Energy (SC3) and Legal & Financial aspects under H2020, as well as for the PRIMA Programme and the ERA-NET Cofund H2020 AquaticPollutants. Over the course of his career, he has supported the development and implementation of more than 100 EU-funded projects and proposals, delivering strong expertise in aligning research with strategic funding opportunities. Zied excels at bridging research excellence with innovation ecosystems through capacity building, proposal development, and the implementation of effective knowledge valorisation strategies. Since April 2023, he has been based in Nancy, France, working as the Pooled EU Project Specialist for the 3 SATTs of the North-East quarter: SATT Conectus, SATT Nord, and SATT SAYENS. In this role, he drafts and monitors EU proposals and manages innovation and tech transfer projects, focusing primarily on ERC PoC (Proof of Concept), EIC Pathfinder Open and Challenges, EIC Transition, as well as EIT, EIE, RIA, and IA calls under Horizon Europe’s Pillar 2, I3, Interreg A/B/C, and the InnovFund.
