Asmara Klein

Asmara Klein is Head of External Relations and Public Affairs at Zaffra, a Joint Venture of Topsoe and Sasol combining market leading technologies with extensive project development and operational experience from its shareholders. Zaffra’s mission is to become a top-quartile player in the SAF market by producing eSAF at scale.

Asmara is leading strategic communications, policy engagement, and regulatory analysis at Zaffra since March 2025. Prior to this, she was Head of Strategic Policy Partnerships at Topsoe, where she worked with global alliances and multi-stakeholder platforms to shape enabling policy frameworks and accelerate the fuel transition.

Earlier in her career, Asmara served as Senior Trade Advisor for Energy at the Danish Embassy in Paris and coordinated international advocacy initiatives at several non-profits, with a focus on improving the governance of natural resources.

Asmara holds a Ph.D in international relations from Sciences Po, Paris.
