About me

Jasmine is a seasoned professional in the creative industry, having joined Phoenix TV in 2023 – a leading Chinese-language media group with 500 million viewers across 190 countries and territories.

Before her tenure at Phoenix TV, Jasmine held pivotal roles with Shanghai Municipal Information & Press Office, Shanghai Publicity Department, Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, and Expo Shanghai Group.

In 2016, she founded Branding Shanghai, a non-profit organisation focused on creating impactful city branding campaigns for Shanghai. Under her leadership, the organisation successfully launched initiatives such as the "Shanghai. Let’s Meet!" campaigns in London (2016-2017), Liverpool (2018-2019), and Tokyo (2019). Jasmine also played a key role in the "China Focus" programme at the Edinburgh Festivals (2017-2024), Photofairs Shanghai (2017-2023), and other major international events.

Jasmine's talents extend beyond management; she is also an accomplished producer and presenter. She has interviewed a range of celebrities, including Sir Michael Caine, Tom Hiddleston, Adrien Brody, Roger Federer, Gary Naville, Alan Walker, Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton. In 2022, she launched her own programme - “Jasmine Lounge”. Additionally, Jasmine served as the cultural advisor for Wong Kar-wai’s acclaimed series “Blossoms Shanghai”, where she also played a supporting role as Lady Jia.

Jasmine has compered numerous prestigious international conferences, including the World Urban Forum organised by UN-Habitat in Kuala Lumpur (2018) and Abu Dhabi (2020), as well as the China-UK Business Forum in Shanghai (2018), which featured former British Prime Minister Theresa May.

With a master’s degree in journalism from Fudan University and a bachelor’s degree from Shanghai International Studies University, Jasmine continues to make significant contributions to the media landscape, driven by her extensive experience and passion for fostering global connections.
