ASINCAR

ASINCAR is a Spanish Agrifood Technology Centre as well as a Food Cluster (Gold label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative) with practically 100 cluster members (>95% SMEs) coming from the whole Food value chain. Under any of the roles, main mission is to contribute to the competitiveness and sustainability of the Agrifood companies and their adaptation to future market scenarios through innovation, cooperation, knowledge and technology transfer as well as support for accessing to new markets. ASINCAR activity is focused in the development and implementation of technologies that give response to main current Food challenges, focusing the efforts on a specific enterprise; while under the cluster role main activities refer to boosting the Agrifood sector generating and catalyzing opportunities for a group of companies.

Main ASINCAR activity areas cover: (i) Research, Development and Innovation projects, with main interests in: Industry 4.0; Development of novel food products; Food preservation technologies; Packaging systems; Micro and Biotechnology; Valorisation of agri-food by-products; (ii) Technical and technological consulting; (iii) Vocational training, for employers (operational and directive) and unemployers; (iv) Cluster activities; (v) a certified Laboratory for full Food Analysis.
