Evaluation of Industrial Waste and By-Products
About
During the sugar production process from sugar beets, waste and by-products can be converted into value-added products through various processes. This transformation process not only supports environmental sustainability but also provides economic benefits. In particular, by-products such as molasses, pulp, and filter mud can be utilized in different industrial fields, including animal feed, biogas production, bioplastics, and fertilizers.
Within the scope of this project, the use of different extraction methods in production processes aims to contribute to green transformation. Additionally, it is intended to obtain bioactive compounds from by-products using various extraction techniques. In this way, waste management will be improved, sustainable resource utilization will be promoted, and industrial efficiency will be enhanced.
