Volta Energy was founded in 2009 to lead the energy infrastructure transition centered around Electric Vehicles. Since its inception Volta Energy has gone through various phases of evolution, and today it is an innovation leader for new technology development in the Energy and Power sectors. With offices in Toronto and Pickering, Volta Energy has been self funded and relies on our existing revenue streams and investments. Staffed by a team of 15 engineers, scientists, and technicians, who are at the forefront of their respective fields, Volta Energy represents a perfect blend of knowledge, experience, focus, and innovation.                                                                                                                  

Volta Energy co-founded Atom Power, which created the world’s first UL listed Solid State Circuit Breaker. Atom Power was acquired by SK Group from South Korea in a deal worth US$ 150M in 2022. Volta Energy has also developed a full-stack IoT platform for automated Electrical Intelligence through continuous monitoring and predictive diagnostics of electrical assets. This part of the business is commercialized through Volta Insite and has 500+ deployments in North America with a major scale up in progress. Volta Energy has co-founded ZEPCO which is focused on E-Mobility technology and advanced electronics. The latest Volta Energy division: Volta SPICE is focused on advanced chemistry for nano materials and solid-state energy storage solutions.
