About

We design and develop sustainable acoustic materials using mushroom mycelium and agricultural and textile waste, offering an eco-friendly alternative to petroleum-derived products in interior architecture. Free from petroleum-based and chemical binders, our materials maintain the mechanical and physical performance of conventional acoustic panels while significantly reducing environmental impact.

Our solution is based on the natural growth principles of fungal mycelium, enabling the production of 100% bio-based and biodegradable materials without petrochemicals, additives, or chemical processes.

Our Solution:

  • Reducing Carbon Emissions in Construction: Mycelium composites consist of cellulose-rich agricultural or textile waste (carbon-negative) and fungal mycelium as a natural binder. Their production consumes up to 90% less energy than plastics and results in 50% lower carbon emissions.

  • No VOCs or Chemical Binders: Mycelium itself acts as the binder, forming strong networks without synthetic adhesives, eliminating harmful emissions throughout its lifecycle.

  • Acoustic Performance: The natural fibers and porous structure of mycelium composites effectively absorb sound. The choice of cellulose sources impacts performance, allowing for material combinations that optimize acoustics.

  • By integrating acoustic comfort with sustainability, our materials offer a healthy and eco-friendly alternative, reducing reliance on petrochemicals while preserving natural resources.
