Green Testing Lab GmbH

Company (SME)

www.greentestinglab.com/Greinbach, Austria

About

The Austrian SME provides advanced battery testing across the full development cycle, from low TRL material validation to standardised testing of pre-productionsystems.

Core competencies include abuse testing (short circuit, nail penetration, crush, drop, immersion) and thermal propagation analysis. The laboratory operates fireproof testchambers for battery systems up to 250 kWh and dimensions up to 2200 x 3500 mm.

The team conducts degradation and lifetime testing under realistic operating conditions (temperature, charge/discharge rates, depth-of-discharge) in accordance with ISO and EN standards. Additional expertise includes state-of-health monitoring and second-life diagnostics for electric vehicle batteries. Dedicated facilities enable safedismantling and post-mortem analysis.

The SME supports validation of novel battery materials, including sustainable and bio-based solutions, as well as thermal management materials, lightweight structures, and designs for reuse and recycling.

Technical Expertise Offered:

- Abuse testing and safety validation

- Thermal propagation analysis

- Degradation and lifetime testing

- State-of-health diagnostics

- Second-life battery assessment

- Validation of materials and battery components

- Data acquisition for modelling and simulation

All testing systems are developed in-house, allowing flexible adaptation of sensors, test conditions, and data acquisition. The company provides high-quality experimentaldata for modelling, simulation, and digital twin development.

The team has experience in transnational R&D projects and actively contributes to proposal writing and project execution.
