About

effiziente.st is an Austrian applied research and engineering practice based in Graz, Styria, with over 25 years of experience bringing innovative energy and building technologies from idea to field-proven prototype (TRL 6–7).

The organisation brings four tightly integrated competencies to EU LIFE projects. As an experienced engineer in renewable energy technologies and buildings, effiziente.st has hands-on expertise in BIPV, heat pumps, heat recovery units, and bio-based building components. In the domain of energy telematics, the team covers the full data chain — IoT sensing, model predictive control, and modelling and simulation of energy systems — enabling evidence-based optimisation of building and infrastructure performance. Instrumentation expertise includes the in-house development of PCB-based temperature probes, advanced field measurement techniques, and server-side data collection (PHP) combined with embedded computing (Python), ensuring robust, project-specific monitoring solutions. Finally, a track record in workshop facilitation and academic teaching makes effiziente.st well placed to lead dissemination, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement activities within a LIFE project consortium.
