Tracer-based sorting
Group leader at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology(KIT)/Institute of Microstructure Technology (IMT)
Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen, Germany
About
Within IMT, we develop luminescent tracer materials and optical detection methods for the identification and automated sorting of lightweight polymers, composites and multi-material components. IMT can contribute to the project by designing NIR/SWIR tracers, integrating them into lightweight materials, and evaluating their detectability, durability and recyclability. This expertise enables reliable material separation and closed-loop recycling, supporting the resource-efficient industrial use of advanced lightweight materials.
