About

Graphenest is a Portuguese nano-cleantech company developing sustainable, high-performance materials for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding.
We design and supply graphene-based coatings and plastics that replace traditional metal shielding in electric vehicles, consumer electronics, and advanced communication systems. Our proprietary production technology enables scalable, circular, and cost-efficient graphene manufacturing, reducing energy consumption by over 70% and cutting CO₂ emissions by a factor of four compared to conventional shielding solutions.

Our portfolio includes two industrial-ready product lines: HexaShield™, a sprayable conductive coating for high-frequency applications, and G-Shield™, a family of conductive thermoplastics for extrusion and injection moulding. These solutions offer up to 75% weight reduction, 20% lower production costs, and superior shielding performance from megahertz to sub-terahertz ranges while integrating seamlessly into existing manufacturing processes.

Graphenest currently operates a pilot production facility, employs a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and business professionals, and holds a portfolio of 8 patent families across graphene production methods, formulations, and applications. With products at TRL 6 to TRL 8, we have successfully conducted multiple industrial pilots and proof-of-concept validations and are preparing for large-scale deployment through strategic industrial collaborations.

We are now scaling our graphene production capacity to meet increasing market demand and establish a new standard for lightweight, efficient, and sustainable EMI shielding across key sectors in Europe and globally.
