About

The industrial production of high-performance fibers and composite materials is both cost-intensive and prone to errors. Until now, it has been monitored almost exclusively manually, resulting in high reject rates, increased CO₂ emissions and product defects. The demand for automated, intelligent process monitoring is growing, particularly among companies that are under pressure to improve their efficiency and achieve sustainability targets.

CarboScreen develops and markets intelligent sensor systems for inline monitoring of the production and processing of high-performance fibers such as carbon fibers. The technology combines innovative sensors with an AI-based software platform for real-time analysis of production data. By digitalizing production processes, it enables early error detection and precise monitoring of changes in fiber condition. This allows costs in carbon fiber production to be reduced by more than 40% and CO₂ emissions by up to 37%. For the first time, manufacturers are provided with a tool for complete quality monitoring of their products. A digital twin is created for each product and linked to the corresponding process data to enable maximum traceability and quality control.

CarboScreen is a pioneer in digital monitoring for quality assurance and process optimization in high-performance fiber and composite manufacturing. In contrast to existing stand-alone solutions, CarboScreen offers a comprehensive system that combines sensor data with deep process expertise and can generate warning signals and optimization actions
