CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials host researchers from the departments of Chemistry, Physics, Materials Engineering and from the School of Design, Management and Production Tecnologies Northern Aveiro (ESAN).The ESAN-UA School is fully devoted for additive manufacturing technologies to be used across multiple materials. Particularly, ESAN-UA has been involved in the design of corrugated horns for wireless power transfer (WPT) systems using SLM additive manufacturing (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/10557411). Also, ESAN-UA has exploited the design of lightweight lattice structures via SLM technology (https://www.mdpi.com/2075-4701/13/12/1982)..) Facilities: ESAN-UA grants access to 4 specific laboratories (Materials Science and Engineering lab; Modelling lab; 3D Lab and Industrial processes) fully equipped with major apparatus and AM technologies(ranging from SLM – selective laser melting, SLS, selective laser sintering, BJ – binder jetting to VAT polymerization, among others) for 3D materials processing and for physicochemical characterization.
