Calla Lily Clinical Care is a British women’s health startup that has developed the proprietary Callavid® platform for intravaginal drug delivery. Initial target indications are in fertility and pregnancy, where the company seeks to offer the world’s first drug-device combo product to help prevent miscarriages, and for IVF luteal phase support. Callavid® can also deliver live biotherapeutics (LBPs) to reduce recurrent Bacterial Vaginosis, cutting antibiotic usage and reducing the spread of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Further use-cases include effective medical sample collection (Phlovid™) to facilitate the next generation of biomarker-based diagnostic tests for endometriosis and a wide range of other conditions.  The company’s devices are built upon underlying technology named a TIME Magazine Best Invention of the Year.
