The Company is a synthetic biology startup based in Cambridge, UK, offering a scalable plant-based production platform for manufacturing complex, functional human proteins. Our proprietary system enables plant-based expression of post-translationally modified proteins - including bioidentical Types I, II, and III human collagen 

The Company’s platform eliminates the need for microbial fermentation or animal sourcing, allowing sustainable production of collagen and potentially other recombinant proteins, such as peptides, enzymes, and growth factors. 

We are actively seeking international partnerships to: 

• Integrate LeafyColl collagen into existing cosmetic, food, or biomedical formulations 

• Co-develop new protein-based ingredients using our plant platform (e.g., antimicrobial peptides, therapeutic proteins) 

• Scale up purification and downstream processing through commercial partners 

• Explore tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and food-tech applications 

• Collaborate on EU and UK funding bids focused on biotechnology, biomaterials, and health 

Our aim is to build long-term strategic collaborations combining R&D and commercialisation capabilities to bring plant-made proteins to market across multiple sectors.
