AI Cargo Foundation is a neutral, non-profit innovation hub dedicated to accelerating the decarbonization of freight transport through data, artificial intelligence, and inter-company collaboration.

AI Cargo designs and operates digital platforms and sector-wide programs that help freight stakeholders—shippers, logistics providers, transport operators, territories, and public authorities—identify, structure, and implement modal shift solutions from road to rail and inland waterways. Its approach combines secure data sharing, advanced analytics, and AI-driven optimization to transform fragmented transport flows into coordinated, massified, and operational multimodal solutions.

As the initiator of the national Appel d’aiR program, AI Cargo has supported thousands of companies by providing free digital assistance to analyze transport flows, assess eligibility for rail and fluvial services, and detect mutualization opportunities between actors, while strictly complying with competition law and data sovereignty principles.

Positioned as a trusted third party, AI Cargo develops “digital commons” for the freight and logistics sector, bridges public policy objectives with operational realities, and contributes to the scaling of concrete, measurable carbon reduction projects. Its mission is to make collaboration and digital intelligence key levers of economic performance and environmental transition in freight transport.
