Expertise in Rail-based Modal Shift Strategies focusing on Freight Flow Simulations

Research Associate at University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria

Steyr, Upper Austria, Austria

About

I offer expertise in modal shift simulations, focusing on how policy measures and behavioral mechanisms influence the shift from road to rail. My research combines empirical mode choice analysis, GIS-based modeling, and transport policy assessment to identify effective strategies for reducing freight-related emissions and promoting rail as a key pillar of climate-neutral logistics.

With a background in international logistics management and freight forwarding, I bridge industry knowledge and academic research. I am particularly interested in how evidence-based policy design can foster systemic change in European freight transport and strengthen the competitiveness of rail within the TEN-T corridors.
