Digital Twin integration

R&D Program Manager and Funding Acquisition at Akkodis France

BLAGNAC, France

About

We addressed Digital Twins in numerous innovative projects in various sectors leading to a large expertise for

  • considering technical constraints; such as how real-time data is handled, performance, how communication with the real world has to be handled upwards (e.g. through IoT platforms, SCADA system, etc.)   & downwards (actuation, configuration change management…) , collaboration/cooperation of DTs in agent-based models…

  • focusing on UX and HMIs: dashboards, mapping and symbolic representations, user interactions…

  • focusing on use cases: integration in operators trainings programs / in serious games,  secured, distributed and federated usage over the cloud or on premises deployments

Selected references: (*) means EC-funding

  • Smart Buildings/ Green Neighborhoods: Project PROBONO(*) - https://www.probonoh2020.eu/ for example Akkodis is notably responsible for modeling air flows around building and acting on window shadowing equipment

  • Energy communities : Project EU-DREAM (*) https://eu-dream.eu/ home appliances, PV systems, Heat pumps, electric vehicles and charging station with V2G capabilities for control scenario and interface with energy aggregators for the flexibility market; Akkodis is in charge of designing and implementing APIs for the different DTs

  • Energy management: Project PI : Smart control of multi-carrier and multi-energy systems comprising heat, electricity, natural gas, or hydrogen

  • Autonomous driving: Project AI4CCAM (*) https://www.ai4ccam.eu/ implements an open development environment to simulate different scenarios and develop trusted AI systems.

  • e-Health: Project PRIA: Construction of a digital twin capable of alerting and predicting the occurrence of adverse events during surgery. This involves reproducing the operating room environment in the form of a simulator and synchronizing it with on defined time steps in order to anticipate adverse events. This risk reduction objective increases patient safety during surgery and also reduces the costs associated with adverse events (legal proceedings, insurance, etc.).
