About
We provide non-destructive testing (NDT) consultancy focused on technique design and review rather than certification or high-volume inspection. The goal is to create methods that work on challenging components and can be handed to partners with confidence. We can survey options (ultrasonic, electromagnetic, acoustic, or simple mechanical checks), select probes and scan paths, design calibration steps, and write acceptance criteria that match how engineers actually make maintenance decisions. Where needed, we can prototype fixtures or simple electronics to make a method practical in the field.
For an EU rail project, this capability helps keep development grounded. We can write lab and field procedures that consortium members can run at different sites and still get comparable results, and we log assumptions so reviewers can follow the chain of evidence. We also propose small validation tests to check repeatability, false alarms, and sensitivity before committing to larger trials.
Example applications
• Creating a workable inspection for a welded detail that is hard to reach.
• Adapting an ultrasonic method for a new material stack or curved geometry.
• Turning a research idea into a step-by-step procedure with clear pass/fail criteria.
Deliverables
• Method selection notes, procedure drafts, training aides.
• Acceptance test design, data sheets, and a change log for updates during trials.
