Augmented Reality for Personalized Travel Experiences

Key Project Highlight: SBB AR Navigation As part of the "digitalswitzerland challenge," Zühlke supported SBB in making Zurich's main station the most digitalized and personalized station worldwide:

• AR-Powered Wayfinding: Using smartphone cameras and Google’s ARCore technology, we developed an app that overlays real-time travel information onto the user's view.

• Real-Time Data Integration: The app displays spatially localized details such as intermediate stops, carriage capacity, and connecting bus or tram lines.

• Customer-Centric Development: We utilized an agile set-up with on-site testing at Zurich HB to ensure maximum user-friendliness through continuous feedback loops.

Business Value: This solution provides passengers with an informational edge, reduces travel stress, and reinforces the position of railway stations as modern, multimodal mobility hubs.
