Energy Cities Romania

We are Energy Cities Romania / OER, a vibrant network of local authorities . OER supports local governments in the process of transitioning to sustainable energy, with the goal of becoming low-emission communities and striving for climate neutrality. Since 2009, OER Association has served as the "Support Structure" for Romanian municipalities participating in the Covenant of Mayors.

OER has extensive experience of over 20 years in developing and implementing national and European projects in the field of energy and climate action, projects having as subjects: local sustainable development, sustainable mobility campaigns for different target groups based on age, supporting city in reaching climate neutrality, developing local long term strategies for retrofitting public buildings, renewable energies deployment at local level and many more.

OER has also taken care of other subjects like promoting & implementing sustainable campaigns in our network or organizing high level events and roundtables between national and local authorities.
