Environmental Investment Centre (EIC) is a foundation run by Estonian Ministry of Climate and acting as granting agency for national, bilateral & EU Structural Funds with annual portfolio of 150 million euros. The four focus areas for funding are (1) climate & biodiversity, (2) circular economy & resource efficiency, (3) energy & mobility and (4) forestry. There are about 40 thematic calls for proposals each year in which project volumes vary widely: in 2024, 7500 projects were granted, from which 1500 were larger scale projects, 6000 targeted smaller-scale forestry action incl subsidies for private persons. Additionally, EIC participates in various EU wide partnerships and is leading 15-20 strategic state projects.
EIC facilitates local and international incentives in cooperation with public and private sector, academia and NGO´s. Our quality marks since year 2000 are high client satisfaction & low repayment rate with excellent know-how on EU funding (procurements, state aid, cost-benefit analysis). EIC´s 85 employees work across Estonia with major offices in Tallinn and Tartu.
