Computer engineer with 20+ years in technology. I lead Datharsis, a University of Granada spin-off in explainable omics data analysis, and I am looking for Horizon Europe consortia that need a biostatistics and data analysis partner.
Datharsis is a data science consultancy born from over 20 years of academic and applied research in experimental design, statistical modeling, and advanced data analysis. We help organizations and research teams generate, model, and interpret complex data with a focus on interpretability, scientific rigor, and custom analytical solutions. Our work spans the entire data lifecycle—from experimental design to data modeling and training—bridging the gap between data generation and actionable insights. Our expertise is rooted in computational algorithms, multivariate analysis, and the development of explainable tools adapted to real-world challenges. We are interested in collaboration opportunities across all five Horizon Europe Missions: Cancer: Biomarker discovery and experimental strategies for precision medicine. Climate Adaptation: Data modeling and exploratory methods for environmental monitoring. Soil Health: Analysis of ecological and omics data to support sustainable practices. Oceans and Waters: Statistical insights for aquatic ecosystem analysis and water management. Cities: Data-driven experimentation in urban mobility, cybersecurity, and smart systems. Our services include: Consulting: Tailored experimental design and statistical model development and data analysis. Training: Specialized courses in statistical experimental design, advanced data analysis and reproducible science. Software: Customizable analytical tools focused on explainability and usability. Datharsis brings analytical clarity to complex problems, and we are open to forming international partnerships to tackle interdisciplinary challenges under Horizon Europe.
I am a computer engineer with over twenty years in technology. I lead Datharsis, a University of Granada spin-off specialised in the explainable analysis of omics data.
Before founding Datharsis, I spent fourteen years managing operations in a university biotech spin-off, covering ICT, quality systems, business development and logistics in a regulated healthcare environment. That experience taught me to connect research teams, software and the requirements of regulated settings.
Today I combine company leadership with technical leadership. I am responsible for the architecture and development ofDathaSuite, our platform for interpretable analysis of omics data, as well as for business development.
We are looking for European R&I consortia across the life sciences that need a partner to lead omics data analysis and integration. I would be glad to meet coordinators and partners who have the samples, the domain expertise and the research question, and need a partner to get the most out of their data.
