My organisation

Birikim Batteries Industry & Trade Co Ltd. is established in 2005 and is based in Istanbul, Turkey. We are the largest battery solutions provider in our region and serve a wide and diverse customer base, ranging from dealers to consumers and corporate customers. We provide consumer batteries, custom-designed battery-package solutions, industrial batteries, battery grouping equipment, chargers, adaptors, battery fire protection solutions, flashlights, and lighting equipment. We serve our customers with experienced engineering teams and dedicated corporate sales teams for years and have multiple sales and service channels ranging from online trade platforms to multiple stores and dealers around the region. We work together with the leading industrial players of both Turkey and our region to provide them with R&D support for battery technologies. We strive to support these producers by enabling them to have their customized battery pack and battery management solutions. Our customers concentrate on LEV, manufacturing, electronics, home appliances, lighting, safety, and medical industries. As battery technologies become critical in differentiating and gaining competitive advantage for various producers, we keep investing in our R&D, production, and assembly facilities for developing best-of-breed products, solutions, and services. For the moment we are the largest and most reliable solution provider of our region for battery grouping services with a well-established and certified quality inspection process.

About me

I completed my doctorate on phase change materials and their applications. Phase change materials absorb heat from their surroundings as they melt upon reaching their melting temperature. However, these products tend to leak and spread from the surface or area they are applied to when they become liquid at their melting points. This directly affects their heating and cooling performance. To overcome this problem, in my doctoral thesis, I achieved the microencapsulation of phase change materials through emulsion polymerization. This process successfully prevented the leakage issue in microencapsulated products. Additionally, I analyzed the chemical structure and thermal behaviors of phase change and microencapsulated phase change materials using techniques like FT-IR, XRD, SEM, DSC, and TGA. Apart from these, I led a Eurostars project focusing on the application of phase change materials in buildings. Now, I am continuing my work on phase change materials in batteries. I am analyzing the thermal changes of different phase change materials developed by us on batteries using Comsol, and comparing these analyses with test results.
