RDA Banat is the first regional development institution dealing with regional socio-economic development in the territory of AP Vojvodina, with a leading role in coordinating development activities in Banat district, and it is recognized as a creator of regional initiatives and inter-municipal connections, by bringing together partners from all sectors.Working on the promotion of the region as well as its development, RDA BANAT, in partnership with the founders and all relevant institutions, since its founding (2002) to date, has implemented over 170 projects financed from international and domestic sources of funding and attracted more than 20 million of euro. In line with key priorities and available resources, RDA Banat finds solutions that are economically and socially sustainable, in compliance with the provisions of environmental protection, taking care that all social groups benefit from the economic development of Banat. RDA Banat has created personnel, financial, organisational, spatial and other conditions for a respectable development institution of Banat and potentially one of the most successful development agencies in Serbia, which works according to the good practice of development agencies in the EU in order to optimise the development goals in the region and to contribute to the realisation of its vision "The Banat Region belongs to a group of developed European regions". RDA Banat was involved in the preparation of more than 30 Sustainable development strategies / Development plans / Sectoral development documents of local governments in Banat, which are meant to help them to identify their strengths and weaknesses, set goals, and develop strategies for achieving those goals. All this makes it an excellent connoisseur of circumstances, both locally and in the whole region. Also, through cooperation with a large number of partners from the country and across Europe, RDA Banat has gained enviable experience in various areas of socio-economic development, but especially in the areas of transport infrastructure development and sustainable mobility. The founders of RDA Banat today are representatives of public and business sectors, covering the territory of the entire Central Banat District, as well as part of the North Banat District (Kikinda and Ada). As the main focus of the RDA is the socio-economic development of the region, our work is focused on a very wide group of stakeholders and includes local governments, decision and policy makers at the local / regional / national level, public sector representatives, education, unemployed, SMEs, civil society organisations, members of sensitive categories, etc.
