Offshore Aquaculture, nature inclusive designs, nature restoration

Eva Strothotte

Project Manager at R&D Centre University of Applied Sciences Kiel GmbH

Kiel, Germany

About

Optimising and adapting nature-inclusive design add-ons for both offshore structures as e.g. monopiles and nearshore or inshore structures to restore and provide original habitat for key and protected species as the European oyster as well as supporting different fish populations e.g. European eel. Developed concepts and first offshore tests serve as a base for species and location specific applications.

A second objective is the development and implementation of remote monitoring concepts to provide standardized techniques for comparable and automatic analyzed data to analyze the ecological impact.
