OLinWASTE explores EU Bioeconomy Innovation: Integrated Approaches to Waste Valorisation and Sustainable Biorefineries
- Circular Bioeconomy & Biotech for Environment
This session - chaired by the Horizon Europe OlinWASTE project- highlights how Horizon Europe projects contribute to the transition towards a circular, low emission bioeconomy. It brings together research and innovation actions spanning forestry and agricultural waste valorisation, zero waste biorefinery concepts, and the replacement of harmful substances with bioactive compounds derived from waste streams especially for crop-protection. Beyond presenting technological approaches, the session opens a discussion on what enables successful Horizon Europe project applications and on the key challenges of translating results from collaborative HE projects into real world impact.
