Creating robust bioprocesses through advanced process analytical technology and automation

The increasing complexity of pharmaceutical products requires ever more sophisticated bioprocesses. To ensure sufficient robustness and reliability, advanced automation is required. Process control can be achieved utilizing a variety of different algorithms, but all require timely real time data. This data can be provided by physical sensors or come from a soft sensor that uses computational tools to interpret complex signals from complex biological samples.
