Parallelsession:The Choreography of Cargo: Balancing Hardware and AI in Modern Intralogistics
Talk 1: Robotization of Logistics and Assembly Processes Using a Mobile Robot, Erih Arko, YASKAWA
The paper presents the implementation of a mobile robotic system that combines a mobile platform and a collaborative robot into a unified solution for logistics and assembly operations. The system enables automated supply of production processes and integration with an automated warehouse, while also performing assembly tasks such as screwdriving, sealant application, and component pressing.
Special emphasis will be placed on system integration and quality control using machine vision. The solution provides increased flexibility, shorter production cycles, and more efficient adaptation to changing production requirements.
Talk 2: Autonomous Drone Swarms for Logistics and Mobility, Christian Raffelsberger, Lakeside Labs
This presentation gives an overview of autonomous drone swarm technologies for logistics-related applications. The focus will be on how multiple aerial robots can cooperate to perceive, identify, and localize relevant objects and infrastructure in dynamic environments, complementing existing logistics systems with flexible mobile sensing capabilities. Selected examples from current research projects will be presented, including the use of an autonomous drone swarm for container identification and localization in a logistics center, as well as current work on traffic and congestion monitoring.
