Biodiversity Data Standards
Liaison officer at Meise Botanic Garden

About
We are very much involved in providing biodiversity and natural history collection data to GBIF (www. GBIF.org) and other online plateforms in a free and FAIR manner. Currently GBIF serves over 3.5 billion records. The data is structured following the official TDWG data standards (www.TDWG.org). At EU level we are involved in the EU IRI DiSSCo (www. DISSCo.eu) on scientific collections.
We would like to explore on possible joint projects and collaborations to make this data and associated tools available to a larger audience via EOSC, and how they could integrate thematic nodes. Topics like interoperability are here important. We cannot speak for the whole neworks cited here above, but can channel collaborations and would be happy to test with our data from the Garden and our implementations, such as the virtual herbarium, or our citizen sciences platforms and how they could be connected to EOSC.
