High-resolution site characterisation is a fundamental part of our approach to environmental investigation. We consider it a must-have foundation for any properly planned remediation process. A detailed understanding of the distribution, nature and extent of contamination is essential for defining risks, selecting appropriate remediation measures, estimating costs and avoiding unnecessary work. To achieve this level of understanding, VentEko works with LIF (Laser-Induced Fluorescence) technology for high-resolution characterisation of contaminated sites. We were among the early adopters of LIF technology in Europe and have developed substantial practical experience in applying it to complex investigations and remediation planning.

We visit sites, understand actual processes, talk to the people involved, observe operations and look beyond documentation to understand the real circumstances.
