Stamina Living Lab

STAMINA Living Lab, a new ENoLL member, is a healthcare innovation ecosystem in Albania that brings together patients and citizens, healthcare professionals, researchers, students, startups, businesses, and public and civil society stakeholders to co-create, test, and validate solutions in real-life environments. Operating within the Barleti ecosystem, STAMINA connects the academic and research capabilities of Barleti University and Barleti Institute for R&D (B.I.R.D.) with the clinical environments of Barleti Medical Group, including a multidisciplinary polyclinic and licensed home health agency, as well as digital, prototyping, and innovation resources.

Our primary focus is health and well-being, including digital health, MedTech, AI-enabled healthcare, prevention and early detection, remote monitoring, home and community-based care, healthy and active ageing, mental health, and patient-centred innovation. We provide partners with a real-world environment for stakeholder engagement, co-creation, user recruitment, pilot implementation, testing and validation, training, dissemination, and impact assessment. STAMINA is particularly interested in European collaborations involving healthcare innovation, emerging technologies, SMEs and startups, social innovation and inclusion, education and capacity building, and Living Lab methodologies. Through the wider Barleti ecosystem, we can also mobilise interdisciplinary expertise and infrastructure where relevant to project objectives.

Building on our experience with Living Lab methodologies and the multidisciplinary expertise of Barleti University, STAMINA also has the potential to extend its Living Lab approach beyond health into other thematic areas where the University has the relevant expertise, infrastructure, and stakeholder networks. We are EIT members of several EIT KICs.
