Securing Critical Energy Infrastructure Against External Threats
Expert at Siemens Energy

About
**THE CHALLENGE
**Currently the security situation in the international context becomes increasingly unsafe. To ensure a continuous and safe supply for energy a resilient energy system is required. How can systems like sub-stations, power lines, HVDC stations but also windfarms, battery storage facilities or even power plats can be protected against external threats
**SOLUTION DIRECTION SOUGHT
**Please consider solution which can protect the infrastructure with access to the site or without. Electrical and/or digital solutions protecting the systems as well as mechanical solutions or systems to identify or defend against drones etc. would be appreciated. All other possible solutions reducing risk levels for the energy systems are highly welcome.
**SOLUTION BOUNDARIES
**The solutions should increase the level of safety in the continuous operation of energy equipment. Threats of interest would protect against cyber attacks but also improve the systems against mechanical or electrical damages.
**WHAT WE OFFER
**Strategic partnership testing and implementing solutions into real applications. If successful, access to a global energy market.
**COMPANY BACKGROUND
**Siemens Energy produce and sell components and solutions for energy systems. The product range from classic generator over renewable generation like wind, grid operations and grid stabilization to systems and solutions for industries and municipalities.
