About

The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) is Malaysia’s principal government agency for investment promotion and industrial development under the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI).

MIDA facilitates foreign and domestic investments across key sectors including advanced manufacturing, electrical and electronics, energy transition technologies, life sciences, machinery and equipment, aerospace, chemicals, and digital industries.

As a central coordination agency, MIDA provides comprehensive, end-to-end facilitation services to investors. This includes:

  • Investment advisory and market-entry guidance

  • Coordination with federal and state authorities

  • Assistance with applications, licences, and regulatory processes

  • Support in identifying suitable locations and industrial ecosystems

  • Facilitation of stakeholder engagement and supply-chain linkages

  • Post-investment and expansion support (aftercare services)
