Lingvafix offers high-class business translations and localisation between Finnish, English and Swedish. Other languages as agreed. We translate everything from creative marketing texts to technical manuals. We also do authorised translations from Finnish to Swedish, Swedish to Finnish and English to Finnish.
When you need a skilled writer - we write texts that get your message across. We do copywriting, content writing, text editing and proofreading of articles, customer references, brochures, marketing material, web site content, white papers etc.
We design and develop websites. Our range of products and services includes everything from web hosting, regular content and system updating to different types of web site care plans.
Lingvafix is owned and run by Rainer Ahlvik and Lilian Åstrand-Ahlvik. Rainer started the company in 1992. After having had Lingvafix as a side-line for many years, Rainer decided in 2010 to become a full-time entrepreneur. The next big change happened in the spring of 2019 when Lilian joined the business.
We are native Swedish speakers and qualified translators and language experts (M.A.) from the Faculty of Humanities, University of Vaasa. Both have long experience as communicators, writers and web specialists in Wärtsilä.
We have most experience from company and project communication, marketing, industry, energy and technology, tourism, IT, administration and education.
Lingvafix has the passion and flexibility of a small agency that can provide a fast and personal service. And, everything in three languages: English, Swedish and Finnish.
Lingvafix is located in Vaasa, but we work with customers all over Finland and also globally. When needed, we hire supplementary resources such as other professional communicators or people with complementary skills from our multi-skilled network, for example translators of other languages or other specialists.
