Proger was founded in 1951 as a professional studio, and since 1983 it has been a company.

It is currently the largest engineering firm in Italy and among the top in the world.

In the last 20 years, PROGER has acquired significant know-how in providing multidisciplinary engineering services for Energy projects in Italy and globally.

The company primarily operates in the energy, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors, but also extends its expertise to industrial and environmental fields. Its services cover the entire project life cycle — from feasibility studies to commissioning and decommissioning — in full compliance with international standards and with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability.

The company includes a dedicated environmental services division that covers key areas such as permitting and biodiversity, sustainability and climate change and remediation and decommissioning. This division operates mostly in Europe and Western Sub-Saharan Africa.
