Refisa

REFISA is a company specialised in the design, engineering and manufacture of composite components and structures for the railway industry. The company develops solutions for vehicle interiors, exteriors and functional assemblies, supporting each project from technical definition through to delivery of the finished component.

Its activities integrate engineering support, process development, composite manufacturing, machining, integration and assembly. REFISA works with technologies including hand lay-up, infusion, RTM and RTM-Light, prepreg and SMC, selecting the most suitable process according to requirements for geometry, fire performance, stiffness, weight, tolerances, finish and vehicle integration.

REFISA’s experience focuses on turning demanding railway requirements into repeatable industrial solutions. This involves controlling interfaces between materials and components, adhesive bonding processes, surface preparation, curing, inspection and traceability. The company approaches each product as a complete system in which design, manufacturing, integration and validation must work together.

REFISA operates industrial facilities in Lleida, Spain, and Priboj, Serbia. Its facilities and production lines are organised around railway product families and the manufacture of components with different levels of integration.

The company collaborates with railway manufacturers and suppliers on projects requiring technical capability, industrial flexibility and process control.
