Ferrato Davide S.a.s., a family-owned company based in Rubano (Padua, Italy), specializes in the cutting and processing of steel products, as well as in the supply and trading of steel plates and forged ingots.

For many years, we have provided our customers with expertise, technology and production capabilities, with a particular focus on the processing of heavy-gauge and extra-thick steel plates and sections.

One of our key strengths is our ability to perform cutting operations on materials up to 1,200 mm thick. This distinctive capability allows us to handle even the most complex and demanding requirements in the steel, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, plant engineering and industrial components sectors.

This capability is complemented by CNC plasma technology, offering high precision and versatility and equipped with a bevel cutting head for cutting and edge beveling operations. The system also features an integrated machining module allowing us to perform:

• drilling up to Ø 40 mm;

• threading up to M24;

• countersinking.

Our production facilities enable us to provide a complete and integrated service, from material supply through cutting and subsequent processing, manufacturing custom-made parts according to our customers' drawings and specifications, including large-size and extra-thick components.

Quality and Traceability

We place particular emphasis on quality, material traceability and process control.

Our management system complies with UNI EN ISO 9001, certified by RINA, and allows us to provide, according to customer requirements:

• material certificates;

• mechanical testing and chemical analysis;

• inspections and testing according to the requirements of the main naval classification societies;

• non-destructive testing performed by qualified personnel;

• certification for the manufacture of structural components according to EN 1090 – EXC3, obtained in 2020.

Stock and Material Availability

We have a substantial steel stockholding, with material available in thicknesses ranging from 8 to 700 mm and an overall stock of approximately 12,000 tonnes of steel plates.

This significant stock availability allows us to ensure fast response times, flexibility and continuity of supply, reducing procurement lead times and enabling us to meet even particularly demanding requirements.

Additional Processing Services

Our offer is complemented by a wide range of additional services and processing operations, including:

straightening, tumbling, sandblasting, normalizing, deburring, primer coating and ultrasonic testing.

The combination of extensive material availability, high-capacity cutting, CNC technology and complementary processing services enables us to act as a single, reliable partner for the manufacture of steel components and parts, from raw material supply through to the finished processed product.
