About me
Diana Miceli has over 17 years’ experience professional experience with initiating and delivering sustained results and effective change for Government, Companies, Firms, NGOs and Private Organisations across various sectors. This includes project, business and organisational management, as well as operations, quality assurance, training, research & innovation, policy, talent & personnel management. Extensive experience lies in strategising and leading cross-functional teams bringing about fundamental change and improvement in strategy, process, and profitability – both as a leader and as an expert consultant.
Her career commenced in 2007 within the European Union Secretariat at the Office of the Prime Minister where she was the Research Officer responsible for Justice and Home Affairs dossiers including the lobbying strategies for the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA), to be established in Malta among other achievements; in 2010 she then moved to The Malta Council for Science & Technology, whereby she navigated through various facets of research, innovation and technology, being the National Contact Point and Programme Committee Member for Energy, Transport, Health, Research Infrastructures and others. Her experience extends through significant roles as Director for Corporate Services at Equinox Group project manager for the Malta Innovation Hub through a contract assigned to IURIS Business Solutions whereby she set-up and headed the Business Solutions Department, after which she managed the Policy and Projects Department at The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise & Industry, where she further cultivated a keen understanding of sustainable innovation and management through projects. This journey has equipped her with a unique perspective on integrating local innovation strategies with European dimensions, making her adept at steering Malta's innovation community towards greater European engagement and success as she is now the Strategist for Global Cooperative Projects and Advocacy for Cooperatives Malta, Senior Researcher at the Knowledge Innovation Centre, and the European Institute for Innovation & Technology (EIT) Community Officer for the EIT Community Hub Malta.
Her education includes an Associate Degree in Management from the European University in Montreux, a B.A (Hons) in European Studies and a Master of Arts in Humanitarian Action from the University of Malta and she is also a PRINCE2 Practitioner.
Diana has conducted training both locally and abroad in various subjects including but not limited to, an array of innovation management, proposal writing, interpersonal skills, leadership and management and the General Data Protection Regulation. She has also held several stakeholder meetings in various sectors thus enabling Public, Private, Academic and European relations to secure policy development and collaboration.
She also applied for, coordinated, project managed & implemented several projects in various areas and funding programmes such as:
