Hungarian Geological Survey - Supervisory Authority for Regulatory Affairs (SARA)
About
The Supervisory Authority for Regulatory Affairs was established by the National Assembly in 2021 with the aim to create a stable and predictable working and regulatory environment for some priority sectors, including mining. The former Hungarian Geological Survey also forms part of SARA as a separate directorate, where basic and applied geological, geophysical and hydrogeological investigations are performed to support mining-related authority duties and tasks related to mineral-resource management, which are based on the vast experience and traditions of the former ancestor institutions operating more than 100 years.
