CoSviG is a public company established in 1988 with the aim to foster socio-economic development in the geothermal territories of Tuscany by collaborating with the regional government and local authorities.
Our core activities concern:

Renewable Energy Promotion:

Promote geothermal energy and the heat direct applications, notably for district heating, production processes, and shallow geothermal systems.

Founding member of the Tuscan Renewable Energy Food Community.

Communication:
- Emphasises awareness raising about renewable energy, with a particular focus on geothermal energy.

Commercial and Tourism Sector Investments:
- Promotes commercial and tourism sectors and enhances rural economies through targeted investments.

Research and Technology Transfer:

Manages facilities dedicated to applied research and technology transfer in geothermal energy and energy efficiency.

Key facilities include SestaLab (a test area for gas turbine combustion chambers) and CEGLab (a center of expertise in geothermal energy).

It participates to many international activities, including EU funded projects.

Manager of the regional technology cluster on energy:
- Since 2016, CoSviG has managed the DTE²V, a technology cluster established by the Tuscany Region to enhance the competitiveness of companies in the energy and green economy sectors. DTE²V comprises around 200 members, including leading energy companies, SMEs, startups, universities, research centers, and other organizations.

Geothermal Fund Management:
- Administers the Geothermal Fund, which allocates resources from national geothermal permits and fees to local authorities for development initiatives and R&D projects.
Regional Engagement

Collaborations: Works with public institutions, research stakeholders, companies, and civil society to promote climate and energy initiatives aligned with the European Green Deal.

S3 Strategy: As a member of the regional Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3) Observatory, CoSviG-DTE²V supports the implementation and monitoring of regional energy policies and strategies.

CLOCK Membership: Founding member of the Cluster of Clusters for Knowledge (CL.O.C.K.), promoting cross-sector collaborations.
