Natural scientist by training, in the last decade I have been working as citizen' and stakeholders' engagement advisor within research and innovation processes.

About me

Anna Pellizzone is working as consultant with the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and with the Giannino Bassetti Foundation ETS as an expert in Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (ORRI). She works on a daily basis on the design and implementation of participatory processes in the techno-scientific field.

On behalf of the Italian National Research Council, Anna was involved as expert on citizen and stakeholder engagement activities in connection to geothermal developments, including EU and national-level projects: IEE GEOELEC; FP7 Geothermal ERA-NET; Progetto VIGOR; Progetto Atlante Geotermico del Mezzogiorno. In the frame of the scientific collaboration with the Italian National Research Council Anna contributed to the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) of the European Technology & Innovation Platform on Geothermal (ETIP-Geothermal) and to the Core Group on Societal Engagement of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA).

Lecturer in RRI at the Polimi Graduate School of Management (Executive Master in Management of Research, Innovation and Technology).

Anna is experienced in providing trainings on RRI, citizen and multi-stakeholder engagement practices in workshops and modules for research and innovation managers, researchers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and young students (Graduate School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, Università degli Studi Milano Bicocca, Domus Academy).

She is referee for peer-reviewed journals (“Energy Policy”, “Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy”, “Renewable Energy”, “International Journal of Disaster Risk Science”, “Geothermics”, “Renewable Energy”) and projects (Swiss National Science Foundation).

Natural scientist by training, she holds a master in Communication of Science and a PhD in Earth Sciences (on public engagement with geothermal energy).
