Biofonic is accelerating the adoption of sustainable agriculture through its low-cost acoustic soil sensor technology and AI. Biofonic’s acoustic technology offers data-rich, continuous multi-factor soil health profiling, opening up a wide array of real-time, high-impact intelligence and autonomous interventions to eliminate reliance on agrochemicals, monitor hidden soil pests, and offer cost savings, yield improvement, and environmental impact. By 2050, 90% of our food production will still rely on soil, but we're on track to destroying over 90% of our global arable top soils in the same amount of time. Meanwhile, climate change is creating unpredictable surges in pests, disease, and crop loss, which is getting worse with every degree of temperature rise. Now that every year is becoming a record-breaking, atypical year, farmers can no longer rely on their usual playbook and they desperately and urgently need advanced modeling to keep up with ever-changing environmental conditions and mitigate risk. It's mission critical that these solutions include soil health, because soil ecosystems are unique, even within the same field. This explains why agricultural AI is the fastest growing segment within agtech. But right now we're lacking the right data for actionable soil regeneration models. Our most scalable solutions like satellite simply cannot tell us what's happening below the surface, and our more capable soil technologies involve costly and laborious soil sampling and lab analysis, or aren't capable of continuously quantifying multiple factors of soil health. At Biofonic we're building the most scalable, continuous, sub-surface soil intelligence hardware and software solution on the market. We're a team of deep tech engineers who have each developed breakthroughs in wearable sensing and ultrasound brain to machine communication systems for medtech and acoustic sensor systems in nuclear decommissioning robotics. Our system can continuously measure multiple factors of soil health at a low cost, creating an autonomous and information rich bridge linking the Earth's most biodiverse and complex ecosystem just below our feet to the rapidly scaling and growing remote monitoring platform market, creating actionable and profitable agronomic decision support, sustainable pest management, and advanced natural capital monitoring and risk mitigation.
