EEN Funding Talks #6 STEP calls: Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform

The EEN Funding Talks is a webinar series organised within the EDF Partner Pool to support companies, research organisations, and innovation stakeholders in accessing European funding opportunities in the defence and dual-use sectors.

This session focuses on the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP), an initiative launched by the European Commission to ensure EU leadership in key sectors of the future, while reducing dependence on other countries and regions. The initiative focuses on accelerating projects in the development and manufacturing phases across 4 pivotal sectors:  

• Digital and Deep tech innovation 

• Clean and resource efficient tech

• Biotech 

• Defence tech (recently included)

Participants will gain insights into:

• The STEP Programme and calls for funding

• Eligibility conditions, evaluation and application process

The webinar will feature experts from the European Commission sharing practical aspects of the programme.

This session is particularly relevant for:

• Start-ups and SMEs with high-risk, high-impact innovations

• Deep-tech and breakthrough technology developers

Participants will also have the opportunity to engage directly with speakers during a Q&A.
