About
The Directoratul Național de Securitate Cibernetică (DNSC) is a specialized public institution tasked with ensuring the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, and resilience of Romania’s national civilian cyberspace. Established in 2021 as the successor to CERT-RO, DNSC operates under the coordination of the Prime Minister and is fully funded by the state budget. Its mission encompasses preventing, monitoring, and responding to cyber incidents, as well as developing national cybersecurity policies and strategies. DNSC also serves as Romania’s national Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) and the primary point of contact for international cybersecurity cooperation.
